When you buy Now Foods EGCg , you get 180 vegan capsules of green tea extract. One capsule contains a dosage of 400 mg green tea extract with at least 80% total catechins and 50% EGCg (epigallocatechin gallate) and 50 mg decaffeinated green tea.
What is EGCg?
EGCg is the abbreviation for epigallocatechin gallate and is a catechin. Catechins are secondary plant substances. It is mainly found in green tea [1].
What effect does Now Foods EGCg have?
Now Foods EGCg is made from green tea extract and makes use of its bioactive compounds polyphenols and catechins. Polyphenols and catechins are best known for their antioxidant properties[2].
One capsule of Now Foods EGCg has a phytonutrient content equivalent to about 2-3 cups of green tea .

Ingredients per dosage:

- of which EGCG 200mg
- decaffeinated green tea extract 50mg
- of which caffeine max. 4mg

A daily dose of 800mg epigallocatechin gallate should not be exceeded. Should not be consumed if other green tea products are consumed on the same day. Should not be consumed by pregnant or breastfeeding women and children under 18 years of age. Should not be consumed on an empty stomach.
USE
Now Foods recommends taking one (1) veg. capsule daily with a meal. Do not take on an empty stomach. Or after consultation with your doctor or naturopath.
