What is Now Foods Gr8-Dophilus™ ?
Now FoodsGr8-Dophilus™ combines probiotic bacterial strains of different genera. Bacteria of the genus Lactobacillus are lactic acid bacteria that have the ability to acidify their environment or lower the pH value.[1] Bifidobacteria are microorganisms of the intestinal flora and also belong to the lactic acid bacteria.[2] Streptococci are found in the intestine, mouth, throat and mucous membranes. Streptococcus thermophilus is best known for its ability to produce lactase. Lactase breaks down lactose (milk sugar)[3].
For the production of Now Foods Gr8-Dophilus™, probiotic strains were used that are identity-verified using the unique DNA fingerprinting technology .
