    What is L-theanine?

    L-theanine is a form of the non-proteinogenic amino acid theanine. A non-proteinogenic amino acid is not involved in protein biosynthesis.[1] L-theanine is found in the leaves of the tea plant Camellia sinensis, among others. Green tea usually contains a higher theanine content than black tea. However, the amount of theanine in teas depends on the fermentation of the tea leaves[2].

    What makes Now Foods L-Theanine so special?

    For the production of Now Foods L-Theanine , the capsules were additionally supplemented with decaffeinated green tea extract from the Camellia sinensis tea plant. This addition is intended to support the effect of L-Theanine.

    In addition to Now Foods L -Theanine, you will also find Now Foods Double Strength L-Theanine with a double dosage of 200 mg L-Theanine.

    INGREDIENTS

    Ingredients per dosage:

    • L-Theanine 100mg
    • Decaffeinated green tea extract 250mg

    Ingredients: L-theanine, green tea leaf extract (Camellia sinensis; decaffeinated), glazing agent: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (capsule); rice flour, anti-caking agent: stearic acid (vegetable source), silicon dioxide

    USE

    Take one (1) veg. capsule 1-2 times daily with a meal - or as directed by your health care practitioner.
