What is Now Foods Resveratrol?
Now Foods Resveratrol contains resveratrol, which is obtained from alcohol-free red wine extract . Resveratrol is an antioxidant that is mainly found in the skins of grapes. This is why it is often known as the active ingredient in red wine . It belongs to the polyphenols.
In addition, Now Foods Resveratrol from red wine has been supplemented with an extract from the Japanese knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum) , which also contains natural trans-resveratrol. Trans-resveratrol is the trans-isomer form of resveratrol. This is particularly stable and occurs more frequently in nature[1].
